    About Me

    Dr. Angela Hood is a Marriage and Family Therapist that provide counseling to families, couples, women and children. Angela received a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University as well as her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her doctoral research focused on sexual abuse among Afro-Caribbean women and the meaning they derive from their experience. Angela specializes in Narrative, Collaborative, and Solution Focused Therapy approaches to counseling. She also offers Christian counseling, pre-marital counseling and business startup and mentorship. Angela serves as a Florida State Licensed Family Therapist and a qualified supervisor for LMFT and mental health counselors. Her goal is to assist families in achieving the life they “thrive” towards by working them to overcome life stressors.
